DRAMATIC SCRIPTS
A short film following a drastically different day in the lives of four people as their stories converge in one spot at 8:46PM. I wrote and directed this with my team, Luminara Films, for the Independents TMU "Une Foule" competition event, where we took home first place. The writing prompt for that competition was "Rotation".

8:46PM is what I consider my strongest script, in terms of story design and execution. It was named "Best Picture" at the Independents TMU "Finale" Event.

A short film chronicling the dynamic between three close friends as a dark secret forces them to make some difficult decisions about one another. I wrote and co-directed this film with my team, Luminara Films, for the Independents TMU "Finale" event. My co-director, Alem Djedovic, played a large role in developing the original concept for this script, which earned us first place at the Finale's short film competition. The writing prompt for this script was "Ultimatum".

"Have You Ever Seen a Monster?" is where I believe my strongest showing of character-work can be found. I felt deeply connected to these characters as we developed our largest story yet.

A short film about a girl who is trying to get over an old relationship which may have ended because of her "unsavoury" self-regulation issues. I wrote this film with my team, Luminara Films, for the Independents TMU "À Deux" competition event. The film was brought to the screen at the helm of the wonderful Rassha Chamut and Thai Pham, who helped translate my vision to a gorgeous final film. Our bold story earned us first place at the competition. That was, in no small part, because of the fantastic performance from Charlee Hannah, who took home the "Best Actor" award at the Independents TMU "Finale" event for her portrayal of Sophia. The writing prompt for this script was "Break."

"The Next One" stands out as one of my more experimental and self-indulgent scripts where I explored unorthodox storytelling methods to craft something with a touch that is uniquely mine.

A short film about two survivors coming together in the apocalypse. One is a blind woman and the other is a man who has an air of familiarity about him...
I penned this version of "Iris" from a longer script written by my fellow Luminara Films member, Tom Liu. The story was developed for the Independents TMU Season 2 "Premiere" event, where we took home the "People's Choice" online voted award. The eventual final product came after a saga of production roadblocks which forced us to adapt and make changes to the way we wanted to tell this story. The result is a film that stands out amongst other Luminara Films.

I consider "Iris" to be a strong demonstration of my dialogue-writing abilities. As a "two people talkng" style chamber piece, the story is carried by the characterization and dynamic between our two characters.

COMEDIC SCRIPTS
A spec script developed for my "Comedy Writing" class, based on the television sitcom "Ghosts". This episode concept revolves around the dynamic between Jay and Pete, a human and his ghost best friend who he cannot communicate with directly. The core of this story is how their relationship changes when they actually can talk to each other. This was largely my first foray into writing for long-form sitcoms and working with established characters. CBS Ghosts is an absolute comfort show for me, so it brought me a lot of enrichment to develop a story with the wonderful ensemble cast.
